Whether you have done it a hundred times, or it’s your first time, completing benefits applications can be daunting. With a move to IT based platforms and changes to the benefits system, some people get left behind unable to negotiate their way through what is perceived as being too complex.

We are always happy to help people complete their application in anyway we can. This can be us sitting having a cuppa with them and reading out the questions whilst they answer, letting them use a computer or tablet, or guiding them through the forms so they can do it themselves next time. We will also point people in the direction of the Job Centre and Citizens Advice Bureau.
